Privacy notice

Who we are
PJ Fabia (trading as Digital Marino) runs Digital Marino. We have a Data Protection Officer who handles privacy questions and requests. To ask a question or use your rights, write to support@digitalmarino.com.
What we collect, and why
- Your email address, so you can sign in without a password and receive your sign-in codes and order messages.
- Your orders: product, amount, date, status, the payment reference you give us and whether you chose the student price, so we can deliver what you bought and keep our accounts.
- If you choose to upload it, a picture of your GCash or bank payment receipt, so we can match your payment faster. It can show your name, part of your mobile or account number, the amount, the reference and the time. Your phone shrinks the picture before sending, which also removes hidden details such as location. Only our staff who handle orders can see it.
- A record that you accepted the Terms, Safety notice and Refund policy: the version, the time, and a one-way hash of your IP address.
- A download log: which file, when, a one-way hash of your IP address and your browser type, so we can spot abuse and help with support.
- If you ask for the newsletter: your consent (the wording you agreed to, when, and from which page) and whether you unsubscribed.
- Simple activity records linked to your account, such as "opened the library" or "started checkout", so we can see what works and fix what doesn't. They hold no payment details and are deleted after 13 months.
We do not collect your date of birth, home address or payment card details.
Legal basis
We process this data to carry out our contract with you (your order and your library), to meet our tax and accounting duties, with your consent for the newsletter, and for our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.
Cookies and storage
We use one essential cookie that keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, session recording or tracking pixels. Our fonts and pictures are served from this site. Tutorial videos load from YouTube only when you press play; from then on YouTube (Google) receives your internet address, under its own privacy policy. If you choose a light or dark appearance, the choice is saved on your own device and never sent to us. Admins can also hide money figures on their own screen; that choice stays on their device.
Who receives your data
Service providers that run the site for us: Supabase (database and file storage), Vercel (hosting) and Resend (email delivery). When card and e-wallet checkout is switched on, PayMongo processes payments. Our database, files and website run in Seoul, South Korea, so your data is stored outside the Philippines, with the same protection described here. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
Order and payment records: for the period required by tax and accounting rules. Payment receipt pictures: 36 months after upload, then deleted automatically. Download logs: 12 months. Account activity records: 13 months. Email delivery records: 12 months. Unconfirmed newsletter sign-ups: 7 days. Newsletter consent records: while you are subscribed and for a period afterwards, as proof. Your account: until you ask us to delete it, except records we must keep.
Your rights
You can ask to see your data, correct it, object to its use, or have it erased or blocked, and you can ask for a copy. Email support@digitalmarino.com. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link that works at once. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).
